Comparing to the world of sports& Michael Schumacher s success was in large part due to how much he studied and learnt from his own data after his races& similarly for Lance Armstrong and Tiger Woods.

Fact #2- Humans hate losing 2.5 times more than they enjoy winning. i.e a 10% loss feels much worse than a 10% gain feels good. Thus natural human behaviour is to take much more risk with losing positions than with winning positions.

Fact #3- The best fund managers over time have one thing in common (Peter Lynch, John Neff, Steve Cohen or Warrren Buffett)- consistency of approach& at a minimum they all have structured decision making via a plan that is consistently applied.

Fact#4- Every fund manager benefits from talking aloud about their processes with a qualified independent sounding board- this marries well with the normal isolation of the role.

Fact #5 Despite many views to the contrary we believe that emotion is a more powerful force than reason in investing and given the unit of assessment in the fund management business is the individual fund manager , fund managers must understand better their own repeating patterns of behaviour

Our principal coaching service involves a bespoke 4 session coaching process that looks to enhance the performance of each individual fund manager

It is a process based on the fact that each fund manager is their own best resource and as coaches we bring this into focus using our asking the right questions approach
